I think it would have been so helpful as I transitioned into motherhood the first time. I had such a difficult time. This last time (home birth) I felt so great that I was up and doing things way too early. I wish I'd had someone telling me to "take it easy" and rest 'cause I was hit with a huge wave of exhaustion onLanihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07513306977618928729noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3411472637537997915.post-33458505894388797932009-12-16T18:34:43.739-08:002009-12-16T18:34:43.739-08:00Oh, and I forgot to mention that my UC birth was a...Oh, and I forgot to mention that my UC birth was absolutely unhindered and we left the umbilical cord (and babe by extension) attached to the placenta for about an hour after my body expelled the placenta.

I also had my DH make placenta fruit smoothies for me and I consumed the placenta over the course of two days.

That was not something that happened with the previous two karihttp://moosaidthemama.blogspot.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3411472637537997915.post-62433575150283767422009-12-16T18:31:45.329-08:002009-12-16T18:31:45.329-08:00I've never had a babymoon, but then again I on...I've never had a babymoon, but then again I only bleed for two weeks after my UC babe's birth.

In fact, I was up and at Sacrament Meeting 6 days after her birth. I wanted to be there! I find that I don't like to be isolated after birth. I isolate myself enough during the birth. I wonder if, besides having a small placenta, if it might also have had something to do with the fact that you took it easy. I have a friend who did not do the babymoon with her first baby, and bled 40 days, but did it with the second and only bled 9 days. She swears the difference was the babymoon.Mother Earthhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00651601366528131563noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3411472637537997915.post-54833424872243465102009-12-16T18:20:31.323-08:002009-12-16T18:20:31.323-08:00I did with my first baby who was born at 34 weeks....I did with my first baby who was born at 34 weeks. Once I got him home, I didn't go much of anywhere, because it was winter I was supposed to keep him away from people for 6 weeks!

With my next 2 it was harder as I had to go places with the bigger boys. I was going to wait 6 weeks to go to church...but by 4 weeks I was getting really excited to show her off! I hardly even came downstairs the first few weeks and didn't even think about cooking at all during that time. For the first 10 days, we were fed mostly by ward members. My mom came about 11 days after Zari was born (she Rixahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07908864785513937876noreply@blogger.com
